Proactive chat
Use this feature if you'd like to proactively show a message to visitors after a certain period of time. The message will show above the chat button.
Description
This feature will present a message to visitors if they have not interacted with the chat after a configurable amount of seconds. It can be used to prompt if they have any questions or would like to chat with a customer support specialist.
Configuration
Proactive chat message
This is the message that will be displayed to the visitor.
Proactive chat delay
This is the delay, in seconds, to wait before presenting the proactive chat to a visitor. This is an "idle" time, which is calculated as the amount of seconds elapsed without the user starting a chat session.
Proactive chat recurrence delay
This is the delay, in days, to wait before showing another proactive message to the same visitor. This delay begins after the most recent interaction a visitor has with a proactive message or with the chat widget.
Proactive messages will only display during the configured online hours.
